Javier Mendez - Head Coach & Owner, AKA

“She wants you to engage your muscles in a certain way to help you use your body to benefit you. It's not just 'hey, do this move'. It's 'you bring me your move, and I'm gonna tell you how to do it to the best of your ability'.”

Susan Manville - Mother of Mason, Carson, & Pierson

“I only went for a week my first summer, and I took back so much of what I learned from Carolyn. I would go into the early morning workouts with my coach and do all the Body Leveraging that is unique to Wrestling Prep.”

Andrew Morgan - 3x All-American

“I've been working with Coach Carolyn for over 10 years on and off. From fighting MMA to the highest level of BJJ, she has helped my movement and body awareness drastically. I was able to win my first No-Gi World Championship title thanks to her grappling approach to movement and controlling positions. ”

Benji Silva - Pro BJJ 2x No-Gi World Champ

“Carolyn is crazy. If there's a problem, she'll fix it. If there's a situation that you need help with, she'll fix it. And even if she's never seen that situation before, she'll come back to you with what you need to do.”

Trent Mahoney - 2x Louisiana State Champ

“At the World Championships, Carolyn was always there for me when I needed help. She taught me so many things, though the move that always stuck with me was the backstop snapdown pivot to a sweep.”

Josh Saunders - 2x USA World Team, 3x National Champ
